Maintenance Engineer (Multi-skilled)
Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire
Working hours: Continental Shift Pattern (4 on / 4 off), 12-hour shifts (days & nights)
Salary: £46,000 salary + OT + package benefits
The Opportunity
In our clients' state-of-the-art Innovation & Automation facility, they design, engineer, test, and manufacture their products. That means tight control over quality, innovation, and lead times.
They’ve invested in a new, larger automated facility (adjacent to the existing site) to expand production capacity without interrupting service. All of their equipment is modern and internationally sourced.
We are seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a successful and expanding manufacturing business based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Working on a continental shift pattern, you will play a key role in maintaining equipment, reducing downtime, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across the site.
This role would suit an experienced multi-skilled engineer, or a recently qualified apprentice looking to build a career within a fast-paced, forward-thinking manufacturing environment.
Key duties & responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks across a range of production equipment.
* Respond quickly and safely to breakdowns, minimising downtime.
* Work with the maintenance team to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support equipment installations and upgrades.
* Complete PPM schedules and close down work orders on the CMMS system.
* Carry out daily and weekly compliance checks.
* Work safely at height (full training provided).
Person Specification
* Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) / apprentice trained.
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
* Ideally, 17th/18th Edition qualified.
* Previous manufacturing process industry experience
* Willingness to work on a continental shift basis
