What will be my core responsibilities?
The role of Supervisor involves a blend of technical expertise and team management capability, looking after one of our key contracts, Whitbread. You will manage a team of engineers and Helpdesk Admin ensuring work orders are managed and delivered effectively, safely and to a high standard. The position requires strong leadership and job management skills to enhance operational efficiency
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
* Lead and supervise a team of engineers carrying out a range of installation and fit out work orders and responsive maintenance.
* Provide support and guidance to help the team develop, encouraging and embedding a customer first approach to every task they complete.
* Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, to high standards, within budget and time constraints.
* Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with specifications and health & safety regulations.
* Manage the storage unit and carry out weekly inventories of stock.
* Liaise with the client and internal teams to ensure smooth workflows and high customer satisfaction.
* Manage budgets, monitoring expenditure, processing invoices, and controlling inventory.
* Implement and monitor health and safety procedures, risk assessments (RAMS), and toolbox talks.
* Update weekly trackers for works orders and pass through for billing.
* Provide reports to the Account Manager on current progress and outstanding issues with clear actions and status updates documented.
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
* Strong people management skills, including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
* Highly developed organisational and time management skills to plan schedules and prioritise workloads.
* Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to resolve issues independently and react to emergencies.
* Good communicator, able to influence at all levels and across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
* Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
* IT literacy, including experience with Microsoft Excel and work management systems.
* Strong understanding of relevant Health & Safety legislation and compliance processes.
* A proactive, self-motivated, and flexible approach to work.
* Experience in delivering projects within budget and managing engineer performance.
Qualifications & Certifications:
* A full UK driving licence.
* Supervisory safety training such as SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS is preferred.
* IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are advantageous
* Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds) or HNC/HND in Building Contract Management are beneficial.
