Location:Chesterfield, Derbyshire Are you an experienced Facilities Manager looking for a new challenge in a dynamic working environment? This role would be based on site at Brightwells Chesterfield offices five days a week and will see you leading on all things related to Facilities Management. It is a truly exciting time to join the team and really make the role your own! What youll do: Key Responsibilities: Oversee the safe, secure, and effective running of Brightwells Chesterfield office, ensuring a consistent on-site support presence as needed. Manage all aspects of Health & Safety, including risk and DSE assessments, first aid and fire warden coordination, accident investigation, incident reporting, and maintaining all associated documentation. Lead the relationship with the third-party office management supplier, ensuring high service standards through regular audits, performance reviews, and, where needed, challenging proposals or negotiating contractual terms. Ensure compliance with legal and operational requirements through regular maintenance inspections (e.g. cleaning audits, building checks, water temperature monitoring, emergency lighting, and fire door testing). Act as key liaison with landlords regarding leases, site maintenance, and related property matters. Provide leadership and line management to the Office Manager, ensuring effective delivery of reception services, mail handling, office access, security, and supplies. Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site issues, contractors, and visitors during office hours. Coordinate meetings and events involving external attendees, including room bookings, catering, and maintaining meeting space readiness. Support internal desk moves and office relocation projects in collaboration with relevant teams and stakeholders. Respond to building-related issues outside office hours, including on-site attendance when necessary (e.g. fire alarm activations). Carry out additional duties as required to support office and facilities operations. This role would suit someone who: Essential Proven ability to manage facilities and office space with a minimum 3 years relevant experience. Understanding of building systems and H&S regulations. Proven ability to line manage people. Experience of working with third party facilities management suppliers and other vendors. Experience of working and negotiating with a landlord. Experience in managing Health & Safety including Office Risk, First Aid and Fire safety. IWFM (Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management) Award qualification or equivalent experience. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Budgetary management experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Proficient IT and Microsoft Office skills. Desirable Experience of working within a multi-site organisation. Familiarity with ISO standards e.g. ISO 45001. IWFM Certificate qualification.
