Driver Hire Southampton are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our clients which specialises in general haulage deliveries.
Information about this Class 1 position:
* AD HOC work (between Monday to Friday)
* Delivering palletised goods on a Class 1 curtain sider
* Trailer swaps, trunk runs
* Day and night shifts
* 10-12 hour days
* Pallets are loaded and unloaded for you with FLT
* Communicating with Transport Office, following provided routes, completing all relevant paperwork correctly
Requirements from you as a Class 1 Driver:
* Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi card
* Minimum of 1 year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
* Great communication skills
* Experience with curtain side trailers/ general haulage deliveries/ strapping
* Own transport to commute to and from work
* Fantastic time keeping and communications skills
* Complete daily vehicle checks
* Comply with the companies health and safety procedures
* Record Tacho hours correctly
