Our client is a highly acclaimed asbestos consultancy known for providing a wide range of specialist asbestos and environmental services to a diverse portfolio of clients. They are currently seeking a knowledgeable, hardworking and commercially focused Asbestos Bid Manager based north of London. The ideal candidate will have excellent asbestos industry knowledge and with experience working in a similar position as a bid manager; over-seeing a team of bid writers, working on PQQ’s, ITT’s and Tender returns. The ideal applicant will also have a proven track record winning asbestos consultancy bids and will possess professional presentation skills. Applications will be considered from Watford Ilford, Enfield, St Albans and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications and Experience
* Will ideally come from a good educational background.
* Must have significant experience in bid management, sales, business development, commercial, project and risk management.
* A good industry knowledge of the commercial and other sectors.
* Must have excellent communication, people management, organisational, presentation and leadership skills.
* Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring that the Bids team carry out the work effectively.
* Getting involved with the PPQ and tender opportunities – evaluating and completing with time scale.
* Managing the Bid qualification process effectively.
* Managing the bid inputs – sales, marketing, finance, technical teams, legal etc.
* Working alongside with the Sales and Managing Directors and making sure that the technical and commercial aspects of the tenders are completed with timeline.
* Completing the written proposals – preparing management summary.
* Delivering compliant and commercial sound bids – understanding and resolving various business issues.
* Arranging post bid reviews and feedback with clients/customers.
* Delivering continual improvement with regards to tender documentation.
* Maintaining and building a good relationship with the Marketing Manager and the company’s prestigious portfolio of clients.
* Managing multiple projects simultaneously and at the same time ensuring that all information is consistent and up to date.
