This role is for a Senior Financial Supervisor in the Financial Supervision team. It will sit in the Financial Resilience & Controls division that focuses on fostering financial resilience and undertakes supervision of domestic and non-domestic energy suppliers, and as part of Ofgems Analysis Profession. In our division, we have supervisors dedicated to the direct supervision of each UK licensed supplier. In addition, specialised supervisors may have particular areas of expertise and support all supervisors in carrying out in-depth analysis and evaluation in such areas. You will be someone who: Has a proven background in finance, insolvency or risk management. You will be able to demonstrate delivery of positive change for consumers, communities, or society in a role across: regulation and enforcement, compliance, risk management, strategy, operational delivery or policy development. Enjoys developing new skills, capabilities and expertise and being engaged across a broad range of diverse activities, including stakeholder engagement, analysis, policy development and project management. Person specification Essential Criteria Have a recognised finance qualification, e.g. CCAB, CFA, MSc Finance or have relevant financial or commercial experience. Candidates should have abackground in finance, insolvency, risk management, corporate finance, financial supervision, or related, and be able to demonstrate a record of high performance and substantial achievements in past positions (Lead Criteria). Great quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, along with a proven record of high performance and achievements in past positions. Contribute to complex projects and financial data tasks under minimal supervision, and independently deliver smaller projects or workstreams, ensuring all outputs are produced to a high standard and on time. Proven experience of working with internal stakeholders and influencing outcomes, with extensive experience of collaboratively within a diverse team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively complex data and analysis to non-expert audiences withthe ability to build effective relationships and successfully influence and challenge external stakeholders.
