Overview
A Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse post has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Critical Care nurse within the Adult Critical Care Unit at Glangwili General Hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a high level of patient care throughout the unit, actively involved in and supervising patient care, managing planned and unplanned admissions, and ensuring the correct staffing levels.
They will be confident leading the Unit in the absence of Senior Sisters and will be involved in coaching and developing more junior team members. A Postgraduate critical care qualification and experience leading a specialist nursing team are required.
They should be a committed team player with clear communication skills, a calm approach to problem solving, and a passion for a patient-centred approach while maintaining an organised and professional department.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. Interviews will be held on 02/10/2025.

Responsibilities

Qualifications and Skills
* Significant experience in critical care nursing.
* Postgraduate critical care qualification.
* Ability to lead a specialist nursing team and work effectively within a team.
* Strong communication skills and a calm problem-solving approach.
* Commitment to patient-centred care and maintaining an organised, professional department.
* Welsh language ability is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are welcome to apply.
