Description It’s an exciting time to join UKSBS as we transform our business to be the leading UK public sector business service provider. In line with the Government’s Shared Services Strategy, the Matrix Programme is intending to deliver modern, cost-effective and scalable shared business services to nine departments (the Policy Cluster), with UKSBS as the provider, flexibly meeting changing Government requirements, and driving innovation to optimise efficiencies and enhance user experience. The Programme will also implement a new modern SaaS ERP platform, from which UKSBS can deliver these services, driving harmonisation and significant business change across the Departments. This is a large, complex multi-year programme. We are also managing a number of client Machinery of Government changes that would mean that we are entering a period of significant change for the finance service and this role will become pivotal in supporting the whole team with the on-boarding of new clients, systems, services and managing our change portfolio. As the Finance Specialist for Onboarding and Change Request you will represent and lead on UKSBS Finance onboarding and change projects. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following: Engage internally and externally with Stakeholders and end users to understand, gather, define and document the service provision for on-boarding clients to the finance service Communicate information between all interested parties to ensure that all are informed, with particular focus on the finance services team and their readiness for service Be responsible for the production of any business cases and documents required from a finance services and client perspective to ensure that there is clarity on service requirements Work closely with our corporate on-boarding team to support with any on-boarding requirements specific to finance, specifically but not limited to data, banking and detailed service provision. Be a key driver with the implementation of any new service provisions Support the finance teams in preparation for the in-coming workload, supporting training, documentation production, recruitment as necessary Support the Senior Management Team in all CI initiatives and service optimisation To be considered for the role, you will need: Extensive Finance Knowledge in a shared service environment Significant experience of leading several teams in a HR or Finance operational environment Considerable experience in delivering services via complex ERP systems, such as Oracle or SAP Experience of conducting in-depth analysis of services and processes and working with teams to identify and implement opportunities to optimise them Understanding of change management principles Strong numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs to operational requirements Experience of working with delivery teams to analyse service requirements through to implementation Proven problem-solving skills Strong customer service skills with a service delivery focus Project Management Skills For additional information and a confidential discussion please contact our Recruitment Team on recruiting@uksbs.co.uk.
