Title: Graduate Electronic & Electrical Engineer
Location: Dundee
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Product Engineering Team based in Dundee. This graduate position involves working as part of a multi-discipline team in Dundee (and with other facilities and suppliers) in the support, design, evaluation and test of ATMs (Auto-Teller Machines for the Banking Industry) and the devices used in ATMs. We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual with a background in Mechanical Engineering to join our team. You’ll be involved in a wide variety of technical design and problem-solving tasks, with exposure to multiple disciplines and a broad view of the business.
Responsibilities
* Work on new product developments designing mechanical parts and mechanisms - including injection moulded parts, sheet metal parts, castings, turned parts, etc.
* Evaluate different technologies and provide recommendations with backup analysis
* Working with tooling suppliers and parts manufacture
* Supplier engagement and change management
* Collaborate with Engineers from different disciplines to enable system wide integration
* Design validation via design reviews, stress analysis, assembly tolerances, testing and problem correction
* Prepare drawings and procurement specifications.
Basic Qualifications/Experience
* Education: BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering (or very similar STEM related discipline) – min 2:1.
* Strong understanding of Mechanical design principles and technologies.
* Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functions teams internally and externally.
* Communication: Excellent verbal & written communication skills and ability to present to customers/ and or product management as well as communicating to team members.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. Creo or SolidWorks preferred)
* Experienced in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel software (Advanced Excel user an advantage)
