Our client, a rapidly expanding international co-edition publisher specialising in illustrated non-fiction, is on the lookout for a driven and self-motivated individual to join their friendly and supportive team as a Rights Executive. This exciting position offers the chance to contribute to the company's overall long term success, with opportunities for personal and professional growth. The role will be based out of the company's London office, with flexibility for some hybrid working.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this is the ideal opportunity for someone looking for that next step up from Co-Edition Rights Assistant or a sideways move from a Rights Executive, or similar. The specific territories they'll manage will be dependent upon experience & language skills. Working in a small company amongst a collaborative team you will reap all the associated rewards and have the chance to gain insight into the various areas of publishing. Responsibilities will include:

Co-edition Sales Support:
·Assist the Director and Operations Manager in co-edition sales.
·Optimise revenue in accordance with budget constraints.
·Handle the distribution of materials, update the file-maker, and engage in chasing and negotiating activities as required.

Reprints Management:
·Take direct responsibility for reprints in assigned territories.
·Maximise sales potential and ensure timely renewal or reversion of rights.
·Prepare comprehensive reprint reports when necessary.

Territorial Sales:
·Directly manage co-edition sales in specified territories (to be agreed upon).
·Oversee pricing, negotiation, and deal closures to optimise profit margins.

Event Coordination:
·Organise participation in book fairs as required.
·Prepare for meetings and create necessary materials.
·Attend book fairs to represent the company and foster business relationships.

With a proven track record in a commercial Rights Sales environment in book publishing, you will ideally bring knowledge of, or exposure to managing illustrated titles within co-editions and special sales and be comfortable with occasional travel across the assigned territory (TBC). Additionally, commercial awareness, and a successful history of achieving sales targets would be ideal. Proficiency in a modern european language e.g. French, Italian, German, Polish, Romanian, Croatian, Spanish or otherwise, would be really valuable.

If you are a results-driven individual with a passion for international publishing and the skills to match, we want to hear from you!
