Child's Play are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner, holding a full and relevant level 3 qualification or above, to join our friendly staff team on a full time basis. The post would suit both experienced and newly qualified applicants as the team is small and very supportive.

Children's early experience of living things is important to us. We have two fantastic outdoor play areas that are a high focus in our daily provision and nursery pets.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
* Meeting the children's individual needs through planning, preparing activities, ensuring equality of opportunities and reviewing the curriculum in relation to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidance.
* Having key person responsibilities, keeping accurate developmental records and observations
* Working in partnership with the parents/families to share children's milestones and plan for progress.
* Following the policies and procedures set out by the nursery including safeguarding and confidentiality
* Working co-operatively as part of a team
* Attending and contributing to monthly staff meetings
* Taking children to visit the local retirement home

Essential requirements:
* A genuine passion to provide high quality childcare, enthusiasm and energy for working with children
* Full and relevant level 3 childcare qualification - or due to qualify.
* A sound understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding
* Good communication skills, with a high standard of written and spoken English
* Experience of working with the under 5's (experience gained during training is acceptable)
* Right to work in the UK
* No criminal record
