About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced care/support practitioner/Team Leader to line manage our team of support staff within our Dundee services. In Dundee we support both children and adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, Autism and sensory impairment in the community and in our day opportunity service in City Quay. We also have a housing support service.

Our days are filled with laughter, with a focus on activities on site and externally, from football day trips to parties and pamper sessions. Our service prides itself on being customer led.
Our closeknit management team help our support staff to provide 24-hour support 7 days a week, and they require a motivated and enthusiastic leader to join the team.
You will be required to co-ordinate and supervise a team of support staff in delivering a high standard of social care practice using a person-centred approach that reflects individual customers’ needs, wants and aspirations. As a Team Leader you will occasionally cover support delivering direct care including medication administration, personal care and moving and assisting. It is therefore not all about paperwork; you still get some hands on practice.
A key part of this role is to coach, monitor, mentor and develop the skill base within the staff team, demonstrating Leadership skills such as role‑modelling, decision making, effective communication, a positive attitude, commitment and confidence in the role.
The hours of work are generally Monday to Friday between 9am – 5pm, 30 hours per week, as well as weekends and on‑call, which is planned in advance, enabling you to plan life outside of work responsibilities.
