Assistant Management AccountantPart‑Qualified CIMA / ACCA | Permanent | £35,000 – £40,000 (DOE) | Sheffield
Your New RoleAs an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager and wider finance team in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information. Working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, you will gain exposure to management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance, helping drive performance across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
2. Supporting annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles
3. Monitoring product costs, margins, and manufacturing variances
4. Assisting with cash flow forecasting and weekly reporting
5. Supporting stock accounting, stock reconciliations, and inventory analysis
6. Helping prepare KPI reports for operational andmercial teams
7. Providing analysis to support decision‑making and continuous improvement initiatives
8. Supporting internal and external audit requirements
9. Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency
What You’ll Need to Succeed
10. Part‑qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) / actively studying
11. Experience in a finance role, ideally within manufacturing, supply chain, or construction
12. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
13. Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
14. Proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
15. Strongmunication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
16. A desire to learn, develop, and progress within a growing organisation
