As a Shot Peen Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Quality & Standards Work with the IQ Move Quality System Read technical drawings and apply shot peen methods to EASA Part 145 standards Inspect and stamp completed work; report any quality issues
2. Health & Safety Follow all safety protocols in shot peen and grit blast environments Comfortable working independently in confined spaces Understand and support COMAH emergency procedures
3. Environmental & Workflow Keep your work area clean, including booth and filter maintenance Help ensure smooth production flow between departments Comply with all environmental and safety procedures
4. Growth & Development Maintain your Practical Experience Record (PER) May train others depending on your experience and qualifications
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
Education & Communication
5. GCSEs or equivalent
6. Fluent in written and spoken English
Experience & Skills
7. Background in engineering environments
8. Experience in shot peening (SOPM) and grit blasting
9. Strong understanding of health & safety standards
Personal Qualities
10. Team player with strong communication skills
11. Eager to learn and support company goals
Working Conditions
12. Night shift: Sunday–Thursday (flexible 4-on, 4-off rotation)
13. Exposure to greases, oils, ovens, and machinery
14. Use of overhead cranes, hand/power tools, and manual handling
15. Must maintain a clean, organized (5S standard) work area
Training & Physical Requirements
16. Mandatory training provided
17. Able to stand for long periods (with breaks)
18. Capable of lifting heavy aircraft components
