Bin delivery operative
In this role you will undertake the delivery of household waste and commercial recycling wheeled bins, including euro container to properties around the borough of CEC in a courteous, safe and efficient manner following the Authority’s policies, procedures, risk assessments, safe working practises

About the role
You will deliver and remove the waste & recycling bins for households and commercial enterprises, including euro containers throughout the CEC borough. Liaise with residents upon delivery of the bins. Enter information into Bartec system on the tablet to ensure accurate information is recorded for all jobs completed. Record any other relevant information on tablet relating to deliveries, or issues.

About you
1. Knowledge of local area is required. Knowing how to assemble and disassemble the wheel bins.
Basic maths for adding & stocktaking
2. Job holders are required to follow critical training in the operation of machinery designed to lift bins into the rear
3. Knowledge of applicable working procedures such as Health & Safety, customer service standards, HR policy
4. Driving 3.5 tonnes vehicle. Ability to use technology including engraver application and Bartec application
Able to calculate stocks and load correct number of bins for the delivery, put notes on Bartec and engrave bins
5. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Flexible approach to work with Willingness and ability to travel throughout the borough
