Our client, a values-led and high-achieving secondary school in York, is seeking a committed and passionate Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join their humanities department this September. This is a full-time position, teaching RE at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities for KS5 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach RE to students at Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5).

Deliver engaging lessons that promote reflection, discussion, and understanding of world religions, ethics, and philosophy.

Foster critical thinking, tolerance, and debate in a respectful classroom environment.

Contribute to the planning and development of a forward-thinking RE curriculum.
*
Participate in school-wide initiatives, including SMSC (spiritual, moral, social and cultural) development.
Requirements:

Degree in Theology, Philosophy, Religious Studies, or a related subject.
*
QTS or PGCE.
*
Strong classroom management and the ability to engage learners of varying abilities.
*
A commitment to inclusion, diversity, and respectful dialogue.
