Your new role
As our new Senior EIA Consultant, you will bring your knowledge of EIA into play as you coordinate statutory and non-statutory environmental assessment processes required to support major development proposals across a range of sectors including onshore & offshore energy, property & development, data-centres and major projects. To succeed in this role, you must be able to apply environmental consenting processes in the UK as well as an understanding of wider planning processes and regulations.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Project team management and client liaison, together with assisting on business and client development
* Working in multidisciplinary teams on the coordination and management of EIAs including taking overall responsibility leading smaller projects and coordinating elements of larger schemes
* Desk based environmental baseline data collection and interpretation including site visits
* Report writing and preparation of figures, including drafting sections of Impact Assessment chapters and document reviews
* Stakeholder liaison including preparing materials for, and taking part in, stakeholder meetings and public consultations
Current Opportunities
Our current projects associated with this role include opportunities in:
* Major Projects and Programmes - supporting large-scale projects including frameworks with the British Antarctic Survey and the Ministry of Defence, and projects in the rail and road sectors
* Property and Multi Markets - supporting frameworks with Homes England and projects in property, data centres, ports & harbours sectors, and multidisciplinary work with UK Buildings team
* Energy - projects in onshore and offshore wind, solar, BESS, transmission lines, hydrogen, and carbon capture & storage

You will be part of our UK Impact Assessment team within the Global Impact Assessment Spearhead, focused on growth and strategic projects. Our UK team employs over 300 environmental science professionals across 14 locations, covering impact assessment, compliance, strategy, sustainability, and more. We serve UK and international clients, including multinationals, utilities, and government institutions. Ramboll promotes flexible working and a collaborative environment.
About you

* An appropriate degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or related fields
* Master’s degree (advantageous)
* Experience in EIA coordination on complex projects (essential)
* Excellent communication skills
* Full clean driving license
