As a Senior Structural Engineer, youll bring your expertise in the appraisal and design of building structuresfrom feasibility through to delivery at construction stageto a variety of engaging schemes and projects.
Youll be part of a dynamic team of Structural Engineers working closely with a wider multi-disciplinary group that includes Architecture, Quantity Surveying, and Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering disciplines. The workflow is consistently strong, supported by repeat business and client referrals, with a commitment to quality assurance and continual improvement.
Key Responsibilities for Senior Structural Engineer
1. Lead small to medium-sized structural projects independently, from concept to detailed design.
2. Undertake structural design of concrete, steel, masonry, and timber using UK Standards and Eurocodes.
3. Use structural analysis and modelling software such as Tekla Structural Designer or equivalent.
4. Produce and review structural condition surveys and technical reports within tight deadlines.
5. Respond to RFIs and TQs during the construction phase, review fabricator designs, and carry out site visits.
