An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Biggleswade DC as Operations Support Manager.
To take full responsibility of all operational support functions, including both stock integrity and administration. Through the application of WMS effectively manage the clients stock integrity and provide regular reports through detailed analysis ensuring any stock losses and potential financial exposure is escalated to the General Manager and Operations Director. Through the administrative team manage the inbound processes from appointments to vehicle departures, owning the wholesale planning, prioritisation and customer relationship, the waving of work and maintainence of orders to 100% fulfilment and the outbound process through to final despatch paperwork.
The role includes developing continuous improvement, business systems and process development opportunities whilst maintaining and developing the customer relationship at a strategic level. PROFIT - Accountable for delivering overall designated client stock control budget, report stock loses against client and or contract specifics.
Responsible for the performance of the stock control and administrative team, measured by weekly productivity reports and weekly / monthly financial statements.
Develop a close working relationship with the Site Management team ensuring site departmental contribution to overall network efficiencies. Ensure staff are trained to core standards and provide a robust succession plan to protect the business
Monitor compliance to Noatum Policies & Procedures, cascading new policies as launched to all
Ensure direct reports are working to the required standards through monitoring and regular one to one feedback sessions which include any developmental needs to encourage growth within the team
Responsible for stock holding capacity v warehouse capacity to ensure operational efficiencies are not impacted and Health and Safety standards are always maintained
Liaise with the customer wholesale team to organise and control orders for bookings customers, managing the planning and execution of orders to meet the agreed SLA’s, ensuring the operation are fully briefed on the priorities and requirements for each customer
Responsible for maintaining the process flows and SOP’s utilised by the admin team to process inbound and outbound deliveries and in producing efficient and appropriately prioritised picking waves
Manage stock at risk, stock reconciliation, stock order files and purchase order discrepancies
Maintain Quality standards that are relevant to the department
Monitor the WMS system, maintaining it is cleansed on a weekly basis leaving no exposure to the business or clients
Achieve minimum standards of performance against audit schedules
Minimum Standards of performance will be measured weekly or monthly and reported via a contract dashboard including operational/service objectives - aligned to Noatum Values
Act as site owner for new customers or initiatives and manage the projects to deliver them to operational BAU
Noatum Policies and Procedures.

Role requires decision making for the general day to day work planning, examples below:
• Planning of projects requested by the Senior Management Team and/or potential customers requests.
• Capacity planning for seasonal changes or change projects.
• Financial reporting of stock control position and commercial exposure
• Decision making around stock discrepancies and financial implications and liabilities
• Staff development and identification of training requirements aligned to our people plan
Planning and Organising
Management of inbound deliveries through the bookings process, ensuring an effective spread of work to support the delivery of the inbound SLA
Ensure the daily workload of the outbound operation is produced in the appropriate priority to enable to completion of all orders within SLA, including the monitoring of outbound orders for 100% fulfilment and taking action to ensure this is met where issues arise
Robust controls of the outbound delivery process including the capture of all relevant data and paperwork for outbound loads linked to controls around loading and yard movements
Project management and organisation of new customers or initiatives
Experience of PI systems (perpetual/periodic inventory)
Degree or equivalent in Logistics Management
