Team Leader Location: PRESTON/BLACKBURN Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Shifts: 3 Long Day Shifts followed by 4 Days Off (3-week rolling rota) Salary: £14.68 per hour + £250 Referral Bonus Role Purpose: To support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in the day-to-day running of a registered children's home, ensuring high-quality care for children and young people. The Team Leader will oversee a staff team, ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and Children's Home Regulations, and act as a role model in delivering best practice in care and support. Key Responsibilities: For Young People: Safeguard and promote welfare, dignity, and equality. Lead on placement and positive behaviour support planning. Support with communication tools (e.g., SmartBox, PECs, Now & Next boards). Ensure enriching social opportunities and involvement in the local community. Liaise with families and external agencies professionally. Maintain therapeutic programmes, health & safety, and clean, homely environments.For Staff and Leadership: Supervise, coach, and mentor support staff. Conduct regular supervision and appraisals. Ensure compliance with training and development plans. Uphold professional standards and address performance concerns.
