Security Officer - London, W1J 0BDSalary: £34,064The Royal Academy of Arts is currently looking to appoint an experienced Security Officer to join our in-house security team.The Front of House Security Officer will ensure the safety and security of visitors, employees, and valuable artworks at the Royal Academy of Arts. This role will provide a welcoming presence whilst maintaining a secure environment and contributing to an exceptional visitor experience.Acting as the first point of contact, you will respond promptly to security, first aid and emergency incidents, greet and assist visitors, and ensure customer service and the security of the premises is maintained at all times.About YouTo be considered for this role, you will hold a valid SIA licence and have previous experience in a security role, preferably within a museum, gallery or similar institution.A vigilant individual, you will possess the ability to think critically and resolve incidents effectively and calmly, especially in high pressure situations and when unforeseen circumstances arise. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to effectively work independently and as part of a team. Contractual hours will be 45 hours per week, based on a 4 on 4 off rotation, with all shifts being 12 hours and day shifts only. This pattern includes weekends and bank holidays.
