Buyer – Aviation Supply Chain - Essex
We are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join a fast-paced aviation supply chain environment. This role focuses on purchasing, supplier relationship management, and ensuring operational efficiency across the procurement function.
The Role
As a Buyer, you will manage purchasing requirements, maintain strong supplier relationships, and ensure value for money across all procurement activities. You will play a key role in supporting operational delivery and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Purchase aircraft parts and materials in line with operational requirements
* Manage purchase orders from placement through to delivery
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and new suppliers
* Investigate and resolve supply chain issues
* Ensure compliance with customs and export regulations
* Manage stock, inventory, and consignment materials
* Support continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with internal teams to support operations
* Maintain accurate system data and reporting
* Manage supplier performance and feedback

* Experience in purchasing and supplier relationship management
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Requirements
* Experience within aviation, engineering, or technical supply chain (desirable)
* Knowledge of ERP, WMS, or CRM systems
* Strong analytical and reporting skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
