Join to apply for the Advanced Mental Health Practitioner role at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
Are you an experienced RGN or Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge? Do you have prior CAMHS experience and want to use your skills in children and young people’s mental health to make a real difference? Due to team growth we are looking for Advanced Mental Health Practitioners to join our Rapid Response Team in Slough where we offer a 24/7 service to children and young people in mental health crisis. This is a varied, front‑line role in a compassionate and forward‑thinking team where you’ll build upon your skills in crisis response, risk assessment and multi‑agency working. You will work closely with families and professionals across health, education and social care dealing with young people with a broad and complex range of clinical presentations. Additionally you will take on shift lead responsibilities, manage referrals and help coordinate care. The role is based across two sites in Slough: Fir Tree House (Upton Hospital) during the day, and Wexham Park Hospital at night. You may on occasions also be required to travel to Reading. This is a full‑time role with shifts made up of days, evenings, nights and weekends.
Applications for this role will be reviewed as they are received. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as vacancies may close early.
