This role involves supporting children and young people up to age 19 with learning disabilities, challenging behaviors, and mental health difficulties. The post requires working across various settings, including family homes, educational settings, and respite units, to provide structured support. During the pandemic, a mix of remote and direct work is expected, with resources provided to support remote working.
We seek a support worker passionate about working with young people with complex emotional and behavioral needs. Compassion, patience, creativity, and adaptability are essential. Travel across the county is required.
Our multidisciplinary team includes Psychiatry, Learning Disability Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, and Support Workers, following national guidelines to promote holistic, person-centered care and positive behavior support (PBS), especially for autism and profound learning disabilities.
