team.blue is an ecosystem of 60+ successful brands across 22 European countries, serving 3.5 million SMB customers with a range of hosting, SaaS, and adjacent products. We are building a centralized payments team to unlock growth, efficiency, and consistency across our portfolio. This senior leadership role leads the function end-to-end, with a focus on e-commerce payments, commercial strategy, and partner management.
Responsibilities
* Lead the overall strategy, execution, and growth of the centralized payments function across team.blue’s portfolio.
* Own and manage high-value relationships with external partners, including PSPs, acquirers, and payment infrastructure providers.
* Collaborate with internal leaders across product, engineering, finance, legal, and local brand GMs to align on priorities and drive execution.
* Guide the product roadmap with a strong commercial lens.
* Build and develop a high-performing cross-functional team in product, design, operations, and commercial functions.
* Drive commercial negotiations, contract structures, and performance management with key partners.
* Develop clear business cases for new initiatives and lead cross-brand payment projects.
* Represent the payments function at group-level leadership meetings and contribute to company-wide strategy.
* Establish scalable processes and metrics to measure impact across multiple markets and brands.
* Navigate regulatory considerations in partnership with legal and compliance teams.
* Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations in the payments ecosystem, especially for e-commerce and subscription models.
Your Profile
* Required
* 8+ years of experience in senior roles within the payments, fintech, or e-commerce space with a strong focus on commercial strategy.
* Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale, multi-market payment operations.
* Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem (PSPs, acquirers, card networks, alternative payment methods, fraud prevention) in e-commerce.
* Experience managing strategic partnerships and vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and ongoing performance management.
* Proven ability to influence and align executive stakeholders in complex organizations.
* Comfortable working across cultures and countries, with excellent English communication skills.
* Data-informed and ROI-driven mindset, able to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes.

* Experience in group or portfolio company structures.
* Success in scaling a payments function from early stage to maturity.
* Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks (PSD2, PCI-DSS, SCA).
* Background in SaaS, marketplaces, or subscription-based models.
* Fluency in additional European languages.
