Job Title: CNC Turner, Manual Turner, or Programmer
Location: Bristol, BS16
Salary: £15.00 per hour (£30,420 annually) + overtime at 1.5x
Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, free parking, pension, flexible start & finish times, 39 hours/week (Monday to Friday)
This friendly and established subcontract workshop is seeking to expand its team due to retirement. The role involves working as a CNC Turner, Manual Turner, or Programmer, reporting to the Machining Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operating XYZ Turning machines with Proturn controls.
2. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
3. Managing your workload based on job allocations from the supervisor.
4. Machining precision engineering parts, often in small batches or one-offs, with fine tolerances (not typically aerospace).
5. Manual turning skills are beneficial but not essential.
Skills and Experience:
1. Experience in producing machined parts from engineering drawings.
2. Strong manual turning skills could allow a focus on manual machining rather than CNC.
3. Typically, candidates will have completed an engineering apprenticeship or have substantial machining experience, demonstrating a successful track record in CNC or manual machining.
