Job Purpose
The HR Advisor will provide comprehensive support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring best practice in HR operations, employee relations and people development. This role will also emphasise leveraging digital tools and emerging technologies—particularly artificial intelligence (AI)—to enhance HR processes, improve employee experience, and support data-driven decision making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provision of day-to-day HR advice, support and practical guidance to line managers
2. Maintaining local and global HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, and producing reports to support decision-making
3. Input and Maintenance of the local HR Systems and Global HRIS System for all sites
4. Supporting the full life cycle of the employee
5. Supporting with recruitment interviews, working with the central recruitment team
6. Championing the use of HR technologies and AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency, streamline processes and enhance workforce insights
7. Supporting organisational change by providing guidance, communication, and training as needed
8. Producing and preparing Offer letters and Contracts for new employees
9. Supporting engagement by contributing to the delivery of people initiatives & transformation plan, aligned to the business objectives
10. Producing & sending out letters confirming changes to terms & conditions for employees
11. Maintaining accurate and up to date job descriptions
12. Ensuring an end-to-end process for on-boarding for all employees is in evidence and fully documented, paying particular attention to all required new starter paperwork
13. Conducting exit interviews for leavers
14. Absence Management Controls – liaising with Line Managers and supporting with capability case management to review and evaluate relevant action
15. Regular meetings with Departmental Managers to discuss holidays/recruitment/current issues
16. Supporting & assisting with investigations/disciplinaries/grievances
17. Weekly/Monthly reporting for site managers
18. Undertaking and participating in HR Projects when required
19. Supporting the roll out of HR initiatives across the business
20. Delivering HR workshops and training programs for line managers and employees
21. Liaising and working with external organisations to ensure legal compliance
22. Participation in HR audits when required
23. Co-ordination of, and input into, the UK’s payroll system
24. Responding to internal and external auditors for HR and Payroll related information
25. Supporting the business to achieve an accreditation as a ‘Great Place to Work’
26. Supporting Line Managers at local job fairs to drive recruitment
27. Sharing best practice to support a culture of continuous improvement
Skills & Qualifications
28. Qualified to CIPD level
29. Proven HR experience in a similar role
30. Ability to deal with and prioritise a busy workload
31. Ability to build effective relationships with employees, managers and stakeholders
32. Ability to leverage digital tools and emerging technologies to enhance HR processes
33. A good standard of education, numerate and literate
34. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
35. Excellent interpersonal skills
36. Meticulous attention to detail imperative as is the ability to work to strict deadlines
37. Flexible and adaptable to meet demanding business needs
38. Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
