Lead Support Worker Gloucester
Permanent, full-time (37.5 hpw), working a shift pattern covering the service 7 days a week. Pay: £26,645 per annum, with great benefits including a Health Cash Plan.
About the Role
Want to be part of a team that cares and empowers you to help change a customer’s life? As a Lead Support Worker, you'll support customers with complex needs such as alcohol and substance misuse, mental health, and homelessness, helping them develop skills for independent living. You'll make a significant difference daily by helping customers achieve their goals.
Typical Day
1. Creating support plans with customers and coordinating a small team of Support Workers.
2. Assisting with daily activities like budgeting and maintaining tenancy.
3. Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, and reviews.
4. Engaging in casual chats and building rapport—there's time to collaborate with colleagues.
What You Bring
* Passion for supporting customers to live their best lives with attention to detail.
* Experience in creating person-centered support plans and supporting colleagues.
* Experience in coordinating and assessing customer referrals.
* Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and be resilient.
* Must have a vehicle insured for business purposes (mileage paid).
