The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will:
* Carry out proactive maintenance routines on all electrical and mechanical plant and equipment to prevent downtime and extend asset life.
* Respond quickly and safely to breakdowns, working to minimise disruption to production.
* Support and monitor contractor activity on-site, including issuing and overseeing work permits.
* Ensure all work meets compliance standards, including external codes (e.g. UFAS) and internal policies (e.g. ladder register, permit systems).
* Communicate effectively with the wider maintenance team, Mill staff, and the Site Manufacturing Manager to coordinate maintenance activity.
* Uphold the Group's Health & Safety and environmental standards at all times.
* Carry out any additional tasks as delegated by the National Engineering Manager.
The Person:
* Experience in a mechanical, electrical or multiskilled maintenance or engineering role (experience in feed, milling, or similar process industries is beneficial).
* Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
* Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
* Can work effectively as part of a team and independently under pressure.
* A strong awareness of safe systems of work and compliance processes.
* Flexible to support call-outs or shifts when required.

Shift Pattern: Days: 7.00am-3.00pm, Afternoons: 3.00pm-11.00pm, Nights: 11.00pm-7.00am
