Job Summary
The Manager, Capacity Engineer oversees the team, ensuring the accuracy of installations and acting as the primary contact for critical issues.
Responsibilities
1. Space Planning & Design: SME of complex cage-cabinet design options, providing test-fits for new Data Center developments, mentoring team members, maximizing space utilization, and preparing layouts and diagrams.
2. Problem Solving: Resolving complex, cross-functional issues with business implications, identifying underlying issues, and leading risk mitigation efforts.
3. Data & Drawing Management: Collaborating on documentation of infrastructure, ensuring drawings reflect installed configurations, leading data accuracy investigations, and coaching others.
4. Collaboration: Providing guidance to junior planners, monitoring workload, coordinating with departments for capacity reporting, and proposing improvements.
5. Capacity Feasibility & Optimization: Recommending efficiency improvements and leading problem-solving initiatives.
6. Project Management: Initiating and managing capacity projects, developing success metrics, and stakeholder management.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in related roles.
* Motivation to lead and support teams.
* Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent experience.
* Ability to work in diverse teams and support each other.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
* Understanding of the broader impact of actions, stakeholder engagement skills, and problem-solving abilities.
* Willingness to learn and grow.
* Good English communication skills.
* Basic knowledge of data center operations and technical concepts.
* Experience with databases, CRM software, and ideally agile tools like Jira.
* Knowledge of CFD, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
