Vehicle Technician - Clevedon
1. Salary: Between £27-38,000 per annum (negotiable pending experience).
2. Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. No weekends required!
Our client, a family-run Independent Service Centre based in North Somerset, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician for their busy workshop that has become well known for quality and great customer service.
Working alongside a close-knit, well-motivated and friendly team, as a Vehicle Technician, your main duties will include carrying out fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repairs on customers' vehicles as instructed to the standards laid down by our client. You will need to ensure any faults are accurately diagnosed and report to the Service Manager as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance. You will also need to ensure that health and safety, as well as work quality procedures laid down by our client, are adhered to at all times. On occasions, you will also be required to assist at the front desk regarding booking in/out work and any general inquiries from customers regarding their vehicles.
To be eligible, you will ideally be a fully qualified Vehicle Technician to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as a minimum and have at least two to three years’ technical experience post-qualification. You will need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a stringent workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. An active MOT licence or specialism with diesel or hybrid/electric vehicles would be highly advantageous, but is non-essential.
