The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Shift Maintenance Technicians.
This role is crucial for maintaining site safety standards, ensuring compliance with site and industry regulations, and operating as a top-tier COMAH Site. You will work closely with operations to meet ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP standards, including cross-contamination prevention.
Your responsibilities include:
* Taking full responsibility for all Mechanical Maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and promptly.
* Collaborating with the Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to improve plant reliability.
* Managing the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, review, and issuance of work packs with adequate RAMS.
* Monitoring work progress, closing work orders in the CMMS system, and managing priorities from defect identification to completion.
* Handling administrative tasks such as timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary matters, and deputies for the Maintenance Manager.
* Developing job packs, RAMS, and schedules in coordination with the Maintenance Planner.
* Contributing to root cause analyses and continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
* Ensuring SHEQ standards are maintained, promoting a safety culture, and reporting incidents and improvements.
* Supervising external OEM contractors and supporting compliance inspections and future PM planning.
This role emphasizes safety, quality, and reliability, requiring proactive management and collaboration to ensure maintenance excellence and regulatory compliance.
