Job Description
This leading, independent, global asset manager with approximately $50 billion managed in long-only, value-style mandates, is keen to make an addition to their middle office operations team. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their business processes, supporting portfolio management, compliance, risk, and client servicing teams. This role would suit an individual who is highly motivated, detail-oriented with strong analytical and systems skills, and keen to be a part of a dynamic and friendly team.
Key Responsibilities:

o To support and liaise with the trading/FX team in a post-trade capacity; working with brokers and custodians to facilitate settlement and investigate issues.
o Support daily operational processes to ensure the accurate and timely flow of data across systems and stakeholders.
o Monitor, reconcile, and maintain core operational data including transactions, positions, and valuations.
o Manage Corporate Action and Proxy Voting processes and workflows to ensure timely elections.
o Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Compliance & Risk, Portfolio Managers, Client Services) to support end-to-end operational requirements.
o Collaborate with third-party service providers such as brokers, custodians, fund administrators, and data vendors.
o Become a key person in the efficient inception of new technology in the Investment Operations Team.
o Participate in workflow optimisation and automation initiatives.
o Assist in maintaining and enhancing operational controls and risk management procedures.
o Contribution to key technology projects.
Background and Experience:

o Degree Qualified (2:1 as a minimum or the international equivalent of this qualification) is essential.
o Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high diligence.
o Technology mind-set with the ability to effectively use, manage, and understand various technological systems.
o Understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives), and investment operations processes.
o Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with data management tools and investment systems (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet) is a plus.
o Experience with Accounting platforms preferable.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively at all levels.
o Manage key relationships both internal and external.
o Deadline conscious with ability to manage ambiguity.
o Initiative-taker with a proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
