Overview
Are you interested in being at the forefront of our patient safety and patient experience journey? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Accident and Emergency team at Manchester Royal Infirmary. The ED tracker role is a new role supporting both patients and clinical staff through their MRI experience, whether that be through the Emergency Department (ED) and Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC).
Responsibilities
* Track patients from when they enter the department to when they leave, by onward referral for further specialist treatment or discharge back to the care of their GP in a timely manner.
* Work closely with Medical, Nursing and Managerial colleagues based in the ED and UTC to provide awareness of changes in pressure, capacity, and patient flow.
* Support the clinicians providing front-line care to improve the patient experience and flow throughout the department.
* Liaise with different teams to ensure patients progress along their pathway safely and efficiently, and play an active role in the wider multidisciplinary teams that work across MRI.
* Be adaptable to a fast-paced environment and willing to take on various tasks and duties as the department evolves.
Requirements / Qualifications
* The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, a good team player, organised, flexible and able to maintain attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a 24-hour ED environment with a rotating shift pattern, including overnight shifts.
* Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing tasks and duties.
