Mobile Security Supervisor
We are currently seeking a diligent and dedicated Night shift Mobile Security Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Security Operations Manager and play a key role in ensuring that Department for Transport (DFT) compliance is adhered to.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure adherence to DFT regulations and security protocols across the Humber ports to maintain a consistent level of security.
* Submit timely and accurate reports to the Duty Manager and Operations Manager, using Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Actively promote and maintain the health and safety of all officers working across the estate, identifying potential risks and proactively addressing them.
* Collaborate with the Security Duty Managers to receive comprehensive training and ensure all knowledge is up-to-date and accurately applied.
Essential Requirements
* Full Manual UK drivers licence, over the age of 21, with more than one year of driving experience, and held UK drivers licence for more than one year.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Commitment to promoting a safe working environment for all staff members.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Previous experience in a security supervisor role is essential.
* Knowledge of Department for Transport security practices.
Training
Full and extensive training, delivered by the Security Duty Manager, to assist you in fulfilling the role.
Job Overview
* To protect our customer's property, people, and assets by providing security services in accordance with published Assignment Instructions (AIs) and any subsequent changes.
* Deliver results that meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreements through full responsibility and accountability.
* Undertake additional training for continuous self-development.
Main Duties
Operations
* Ensure compliance with policies, legal, and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.
* Complete all site tasks and duties as defined within the published Assignment Instructions.
* Review and suggest improvements to Assignment Instructions.
* Maintain compliance with Industry and Statutory Legislation, including holding a valid front-line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision, and an SIA Licence.
* Follow instructions and procedures appropriately.
* Work systematically and methodically.
Training
* Complete all required competency training.
* Undertake additional training for self-improvement.
* Use technology for work objectives and professional development.
* Renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Report any hazards or safety issues immediately.
* Stay alert to threats or changes in the environment.
* Use common sense and involve others if situations threaten safety.
* Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations.
* Document incidents accurately and promptly.
* Adhere to schedules and check call routines.
* Report incidents to emergency services and Communication Centre.
