Our client is building a Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BI COE) and is seeking a Senior BI Developer to support the development, governance, and evolution of their enterprise BI platform.
This role sits within a hub-and-spoke model, acting as the central BI team responsible for platform management, standards, and best practices, while also supporting business teams with dashboard development where needed.
The successful consultant will play a key role in a large-scale BI transformation, including the migration from legacy SAP Web Intelligence to a modern BI ecosystem (Power BI and emerging tools such as Sigma).
Key Responsibilities:
3. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
4. Manage and optimize the BI platform, including workspaces, access controls, and semantic models
5. Define and enforce BI standards, governance, and best practices across the organization
6. Support business teams with dashboard development in lower-maturity areas
7. Optimize SQL queries and data models for performance and scalability
8. Contribute to BI platform evolution, including evaluation of next-gen tools (e.g., Sigma Computing)
9. Support migration of legacy BI assets (SAP Web Intelligence) into the modern BI environment
10. Collaborate with data and platform teams to ensure consistency and reliability
Must-Have Requirements:
11. Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (development + platform management)
12. Experience managing BI environments (workspaces, security, semantic models)
13. Strong SQL skills with a focus on performance optimization
14. Experience working in a governed BI environment (standards, best practices, COE model)
15. Ability to operate independently in a fully remote environment
Nice-to-Have:
16. Exposure to Snowflake and AWS
17. Experience with DBT
18. Exposure to Sigma Computing or similar modern BI tools
19. Experience supporting BI transformation or migration initiatives
20. Interest or exposure to AI/LLM-driven reporting use cases
