We are seeking a motivated and practical individual to join our Community Equipment Service team. As a Service Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting people to live independently by ensuring the safe delivery, installation, maintenance, and collection of essential equipment across Orkney.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver, install, and collect community equipment in service users' homes.
* Carry out routine maintenance, safety checks, and minor repairs.
* Ensure equipment is clean, safe, and fit for purpose.
* Maintain accurate records using digital systems.
* Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and other health and care professionals.
The ideal candidate will hold an SVQ2 or equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject, possess excellent communication skills and have at least 1 years' previous relevant experience in working with older people or those with disabilities.
This post is subject to a Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with protected adults.
