Overview
An ambitious secondary school in Islington is seeking a committed and creative Head of Design & Technology to lead its Art, Design and Technology Department on a permanent basis. Responsibilities
* Lead teaching, learning, curriculum development and departmental improvement across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
* Raise standards, develop schemes of work, monitor student progress and ensure pupils benefit from an ambitious and well‑planned curriculum.
* Use assessment data, plan intervention, develop staff and maintain high expectations for behaviour, presentation and achievement.
* Lead and support teachers, trainee teachers and technicians within the department, ensuring high standards of professionalism, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status.
* Strong subject knowledge.
* A proven record of improving student outcomes.
* Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
