Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Junior Technical Author interested in working within a software delivery team. You will contribute to delivering high-quality product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and product enhancements. You will work closely with product, development, and support teams to create reference materials that explain features and functionality.
As part of our Service Management department, you will focus on customer needs and effective communication. You will create and review technical documentation tailored to various audiences, supporting continuous delivery, improvements, and meeting deadlines.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Experience in creating and reviewing user-focused documentation
* Understanding of software development and delivery processes
* Ability to incorporate feedback to improve content
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Strong collaboration skills with customers, developers, and product owners
* Commitment to high-quality user documentation
* Knowledge of information design, including graphics, language, and headings
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Customer focus and deadline management
* Willingness to learn and develop
* Awareness of agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
Additional beneficial skills include knowledge of technical authoring tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp), version control software (e.g., Git), and basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
