Your New Role The primary function of this role is to effectively provide reactive and preventative maintenance cover for night shift production operations. Whilst working as a night shift Maintenance Engineer you will report into the Engineering Manager and you will echo the quality, diversity, inclusion, legality and authenticity of all our company values and give customers the opportunity to achieve their extraordinary results through the passion we have. Whilst on shift your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Ensure an environment and culture of safe working practices are understood and maintained, by personally demonstrating safe behaviour and taking responsibility for the setting and management of health & safety of engineering staff and contractors Ensure that Health and Safety risk assessments are completed and actioned Organise and monitor compliance with statutory and in house Health and Safety requirements across the whole site Support the Engineering Manager to plan, agree and monitor maintenance expenditure to deliver targeted levels of plant performance within budget Provide Reactive Maintenance cover to minimise production downtime. Ensure stock of engineering spares and consumables are Managed Follow a planned preventative maintenance programme with the objective of maximising operational efficiencies Support the Engineering Manager to continually measure engineering performance against budget cost standards and drive a culture of continuous improvement across all production lines including a constant review of automation projects to reduce labour costs and improve operational efficiencies Ensure all required customer standards are achieved and maintained. What You'll Need To Succeed In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications: Three years experience in an FMCG, chilled environment Preferably qualified to a minimum of HNC level in an engineering or electrical discipline Proven experience of online preventative maintenance software Apprenticeship trained and tested Possess experience in dealing with external service providers, and regulatory bodies Ability to adapt to a fast-paced changing environment whilst proven experience of objective delivery. What You'll Get In Return There is some flexibility around the shift pattern - You can either work your hours across 5 nights (Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday) 18:00 - 03:00 OR across 4 nights (Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) 18:00 - 05:00. You will earn a salary of up to £40000 which is supplemented with an employee benefits package inclusive of company pension scheme, wellbeing portal, perks card and company events.
