Job Title: ESOL (English Speakers of other Languages) Teacher
Actual Annual Salary: £13,038 - £26,164 (UNQ1 to M6 based on 0.6 FTE)
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £21,731 - £43,607 (UNQ1 to M6)
Contract Type: Fixed-Term
Contract Length: Fixed until 31/08/2026
Hours: Part-time, 19.5 hours per week, 0.6 FTE
Additional role info: Working Pattern - Monday to Wednesday

The candidate will share our passion for an inclusive provision and can bring a diversity to this programme of study through teaching the ESOL course and mentoring students. The students are often new arrivals into the UK and welcome support in developing their understanding of Bristish culture and values and enjoying immersive language development and enrichment experiences.

About you:
You will be:
1. Experienced in delivering ESOL programme to beginner/intermediate learners
2. Qualified in teaching English as an additional language (eg CELTA/TEFL)
3. Able to share and model ESOL delivery expertise with colleagues
4. Able to meet the needs of learners from key identified groups, including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and High Attaining students.
5. A strong communicator with the ability to embrace change, motivate colleagues and build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
6. Able to recognise, value and support the delivery of opportunities which extend beyond the confines of classroom delivery and seek to enrich and add value to the students experience & learning.
7. Empowered to develop your own expert practice and support the development of others.

About CLF Post 16:
The CLF Post 16 Academy is situated in South Gloucestershire, hosted at John Cabot Academy, and serves the students of Bristol across two local authorities. We are a centre of education for ages 16-19 offering a range of level 1, 2 and 3 vocational courses and a full breadth of A Level qualifications.
