We are looking for an organised and confident Cover Supervisor to join a great team.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task and complete the work set by the teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering a career in teaching or who enjoys working with young people in a secondary school setting. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Cover Supervisor:
* Supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering set work.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Ensure students stay focused and complete the tasks provided.
* Provide feedback to teaching staff about student engagement and behaviour.
* Support students with questions about the work set.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
* Have experience working with young people (desirable).
* Be confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.
* Have good communication and organisational skills as a Cover Supervisor.
* Be calm, flexible and able to use initiative.
* Be committed to maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.
