COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING ASSISTANT – MJ Quinn

JOB OBJECTIVE: To support the delivery of internal and external communications that promote MJ Quinn’s brand, culture, and strategic initiatives. This role is essential in maintaining consistent messaging and supporting the Communications Manager in daily operations.
WORKING HOURS: Monday‑Friday 9am‑5pm
SALARY:£24,000‑28,000 p/a
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and update the Quinntranet and internal notice boards.
* Assist in drafting and distributing company‑wide updates and bulletins.
* Support field communications via text systems and monitor suggestion inboxes.
* Help manage social media channels and respond to public feedback.
* Create engaging website content and assist with digital campaigns.
* Contribute to communication packs for pitches, job fairs, and media outreach.
* Attend outreach events at schools, colleges, and universities.
* Support charity partnerships and community initiatives.
Skills & Experience
* Strong communication and writing skills.
* Experience with social media and basic design tools.
* Organisational skills and ability to multitask.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with video editing is a plus.
* Degree or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential.
Essential Criteria
* A‑levels or equivalent; degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field desirable.
* Some experience in a communications, marketing, or administrative role (including internships or placements).
* Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good organisational and time‑management skills.
* Basic design and editing skills (e.g., Canva, Microsoft Publisher).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Willingness to learn and take initiative.
