Key Responsibilities

Support the manufacture of complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.
*
Act as the link between design engineering and production operations.
*
Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and quality controls.
*
Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
*
Drive process improvement initiatives to increase quality, efficiency, and throughput.
*
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
*
Specify and design tooling, fixtures, and test equipment to support assembly and testing operations.
*
Coordinate and oversee the work of the Quality Engineer to maintain consistent production standards.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
*
Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production engineering role within a mechanical/electrical manufacturing environment.
*
Proven track record of working at the interface between design and production.
*
Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, assembly, and system integration for mechanical/electrical products.
*
Excellent process documentation, planning, and quality management skills.
*
Confident in applying root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods.
Desirable:
*
Experience with product or system testing.
*
Familiarity with regulated industry standards (e.g. aerospace, defence, automotive, medical).
*
Experience specifying or commissioning test rigs, fixtures, or production tooling.
