This is a full-time apprenticeship (41 hours per week) with structured on-the-job training and support throughout your qualification. Working hours: Monday 8:45-5:15, Tuesday 8:45-5:45, Wednesday 7:45-5:45, Thursday 8:45-7:15, Friday 8:45-4:45. You will be joining a four-surgery, mixed NHS and Private practice, known for its friendly atmosphere and long-standing team. The practice sits in a thriving community between Nottingham and Derby, serving patients for over 20 years. Our Dental Nurse Apprenticeship will support you with the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours on the journey to becoming a GDC registered qualified dental nurse. This includes enabling you to provide the best patient care from the moment someone walks into one of our practices until the point they leave, supporting our dental professionals with chair-side assistance, and demonstrating that you can "+earn whilst you learn".
Responsibilities
* Provide patient care from arrival through to departure as part of the dental team.
* Support dental professionals with chair-side assistance to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Learn and develop in a supportive on-the-job training environment while working towards a Level 3 qualification.
Qualifications
* GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English (compulsory).
* Additional healthcare qualifications are desired but not essential.
* A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for patient care.
Programme details
* You will achieve a Level 3 qualification following an 18-24 month training programme.
* Before taking the End-Point Assessment, you must achieve Level 2 English and Maths (equivalent to GCSEs at grades A-C) if not already achieved, with evidence available.
