The role

Are you a subject matter expert in M&E installations with a passion for asset management and project delivery? If so, this is the role for you! Taking ownership of critical plant assets across EWFM contracts, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance. You will manage Building Engineering Services, planning replacement cycles, investigating and implementing solutions for critical equipment, and providing expert advice to Facilities Managers and Site Supervisors to enhance their technical capabilities. Your role will also involve overseeing M&E projects from inception to completion, including snagging and final sign-off. Additionally, you will play a key part in managing the supply chain, procurement, and tendering processes while ensuring all Quality Assurance standards and work instructions are kept up to date. What you’ll be doing:

• Asset Manage all building engineering services and update CAFM

• Project Manage replacement of plant and check commissioning.

• Ensure plant and equipment are operating efficiently via site audits.

• Prepare life cycle programmes for critical assets.

• Prepare tenders for procurement of suppliers relating to M&E delivery.

• Assume strategic supplier account manager role for key technical suppliers

• Provide root cause analysis reports for critical plant failures

• Provide ad hoc technical support to the helpdesk

• Support the business development team to estimate service delivery costs for new work bids

• Complete M&E asset register for new contracts

• Support where required in the mobilisation of new contracts

• Provide broad based technical support to the Professional Services team. (M&E Services to Schools)

• Review and update all QA and work Instructions relevant to the M&E function

• Work and deputise for the EWFM compliance manager.

• Be accountable for O&M manuals.

• Accurately allocate time to contracts.

• Prepare estimates for project works.

• Review all KPIs and evidence compliance relating to M&E.

• Work seamlessly with the SHEQ to ensure business risks are adequately managed.

• lead regular tool box talks and training sessions with the wider teams.

• Review and Update Risk assessments and method statements including Safe Systems of work.

• Prepare Construction Phase plans as necessary.

About you

Aligned to our ethos and values, you will have a strong industry background in Building Engineering Services, supported by a minimum technical qualification such as BTEC, ONC, HNC, or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent). A NEBOSH Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely qualification is essential, along with a detailed knowledge of regulations and best practices relating to Hard Services in Facilities Management, including SFG20 and CIBSE standards. Strong time management skill, decision-making abilities, and problem-solving within personal responsibility are key to this role. You should demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with experience managing large, complex estate portfolios across healthcare, education, and commercial buildings. A commercial understanding is essential, along with experience in a similar field.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and you will be part of the on-call team .
