Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in S9 Sheffield for a maternity cover position starting in September. This full-time role involves working in Key Stage 2 (KS2) and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Responsibilities:
1. Supporting Learning Activities: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
2. One-on-One Support: Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN to enhance their learning experience.
3. Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
4. Resource Preparation: Prepare and organize teaching materials and resources.
5. Assessment Assistance: Support the assessment of pupil progress and provide feedback.
6. Behavioral Support: Assist in managing pupil behavior and promoting positive social interactions.
7. Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative tasks to support classroom activities.
8. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other TAs to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
Skills Required:
1. Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
2. Experience: Previous experience working in KS2 and with SEN pupils is highly desirable.
3. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Patience and Empathy: Ability to provide empathetic support to pupils with diverse needs.
5. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage classroom resources and activities.
6. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
