I am currently working with a Powered Access hire company based in Bolton that is looking to appoint a Hire Desk Controller to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hire Desk Controller who enjoys working in a fast‑moving environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Handling incoming hire enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and efficient manner
* Processing hire orders accurately, ensuring all details are correct
* Coordinating deliveries and collections with customers, drivers, and depot teams
* Liaising with the workshop to confirm equipment availability and manage turnaround times
* Acting as the first point of contact for customer queries, providing clear and knowledgeable support
* Maintaining accurate records and supporting the day‑to‑day administration of the hire desk
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Hire Desk Controller within the Powered Access industry
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
* Confident using hire systems and standard computer software
* Calm under pressure with a proactive and solution‑focused approach
