Salaried GP

Dedridge Medical Group is looking for an enthusiastic and caring doctor to join our friendly, supportive, and sociable practice as a salaried General Practitioner. The post is ideally for five‑six sessions per week and has a start date of July/August 2026; alternative session numbers or start dates may be considered for suitable candidates.


Team & Extended Services

The practice has six GP Partners and four salaried GPs working with a highly skilled nursing team including two ANPs, administrators, in‑house Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners, a Pharmacy team, a Practice Mental Health Nurse, and a Community Link Worker. We provide high‑quality primary care for a mixed‑demographic population of 11,000 patients and value a supportive culture with daily clinician catch‑ups and a good work/life balance.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide general medical care in 5–6 patient sessions per week.
* Teach and supervise GP registrars and medical students.
* Participate in daily clinician catch‑ups.
* Maintain high‑quality patient care in line with the practice's standards.


Professional Development & Teaching

* Opportunities for ongoing professional development, including regular in‑house time‑to‑learn sessions.
* Involvement in teaching and supervision of attached GP registrars and medical students.

Location

The practice is based in Livingston, West Lothian, close to the local District General Hospital and conveniently located in the Central Belt of Scotland, within a short commute of Edinburgh.
