Crisis and Resilience Officer
Starting salary: £32,061 (pro rata for part‑time colleagues). Fixed‑term post until 31 March 2029. This role sits within a well‑defined pay band at BCP Council, offering clear progression as you grow your career.
Role Purpose
This position is a new role within the Community Initiatives Team, funded by the UK Government’s new Crisis and Resilience Fund. It aims to provide crisis support to households encountering a ‘financial shock’, and offer services to build individual and community financial resilience. You will work with partners to deliver integrated welfare support, connecting individuals to the right services and support.
Main Responsibilities
* Work with a range of partners that together support the delivery of the UK government’s new Crisis and Resilience Fund, including arranging regular partnership meetings and performing administrative duties.
* Initiate, coordinate and deliver new and existing initiatives and projects to help those in immediate crisis and to build their longer‑term resilience.
* Project‑manage a holistic work programme for the Crisis and Resilience Fund.
* Work with the Communications team on a plan to raise awareness of support and share information with frontline workers, residents and other stakeholders.
* Support regular reporting and evaluation work, including data, outcomes and feedback.
* Assist with creating and maintaining necessary administrative tasks.
* Be able to work independently as well as being an effective team player.

* Recent experience of partnership working.
* Ability to manage multiple demands and the breadth of the work programme effectively.
* Good knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office systems.
* Organised and have attention to detail.
* Basic knowledge and an interest in public sector and voluntary and community sector.
* Flexible attitude to work.
* Able to travel to locations around the BCP Council area.
This is a full‑time role; however, 30–32 hours per week could be considered for a suitable candidate.
